It’s Katie! Last Saturday we got together with family and had a Halloween tea party for the girls. It was a blast and we brought these Witches Tea Finger Sandwiches. They are super easy and everyone thought they were super cute.
I made mine cucumber sandwiches but you could also do egg salad or even ham sandwiches. These are perfect for any Halloween party and they would be super for your kid’s lunch.
Take off the olive and you have lovely tea sandwiches! I actually made cucumber sandwiches without cutting them up for lunch the next day and the kids loved them.
To make cucumber tea sandwiches you need:
Thin sliced white bread
English or seedless cucumber
Cream Cheese. I used plain but you can use the garden veggie kind too.
Butter
Black Olives drained, and sliced in half
Salt & Pepper
Step 1: Butter one side of each sandwich
Step 2: Spread cream cheese on the other side of each sandwich
Step 3: Peel and thinly slice the cucumber. I used a mandoline slicer similar to this one for nice even slices and it goes lots faster.
Step 4: Neatly arrange the cucumber slices on the cream cheese side of the sandwich. Sprinkle the cucumbers with salt and pepper to taste. Top with a buttered slice of bread.
Step 5: Using a sharp knife trim off the crusts of the sandwich and then cut sandwich in half. Then cut the halves in half again so you have 4 long skinny finger sandwiches.
Step 6: At the end of each sandwich place 1 half of a black olive for the finger nail.
Serve immediately or store covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
