Ever since the last medical appointment, I cant help but feel so anxious over so many things. With the two older kids starting school and me scheduled to deliver the baby in exactly 5 weeks from today. So many things to think of and do.
Arshad and Ayra both start school in the morning in 3 weeks time and with the new routine, it will be pretty hectic for the helper who have to juggle housework and the kids. And can you imagine the day I have to check myself into the hospital to give birth? It is only going to get worse especially when the husband is going to be at the hospital with me, leaving the helper on her own to get things done at home. You see, we arent the kind of people who leaves everything to the helper while we take the backseat, especially when it comes to the kids. We have always been hands on with things at home. That is why I am getting very anxious right now.Anyway, as I am typing this out and feeling all sorts of emotions right now, I probably had come up with a brilliant idea on how we can get through the week. Ill come up with some recipes I can whip up in advance and freeze it for the week. Guess that will help ease the load off the helper a little bit, yes?
So one problem down (I hope). Now, I just need to make plans for delivery day, when the husband have to be at the hospital early that morning and rethink my checklist on what to pack for the hospital bag.
What I have on my list/bag:
- Nursing pads
- Clean underwear and nursing bras
- Nursing shawl
- Silicon breast pump
- Breast milk storage bags
- A change of clothes for going home
- Wallet, cash and ID
- Phone charger
- Toiletries (facial wash, toner, moisturiser, shampoo, body wash, comb)
- A pair of glasses
- A set of clothes to wear home (onesie, mittens, socks, hat)
- Ring sling carrier
Am I packing too much? I mean this is like my 3rd baby and I am still clueless about what to pack? To be honest, I already have some stuff packed into the bag and the bag is already full, prompting me to bring a second bag which I am trying not to. Tell me what needs to be out of the bag..
