Sakura Flower · Free Crochet Pattern

Applique Flower FreePattern SweetSoftiesDesignOther

Hello my fellow crocheters,

My favorite flower is the cherry blossom, and I'm elated to share it with you in crochet form, especially with sakura season coming up in April!

This is such an easy and quick pattern, and you can make a whole bunch in different shades of pink.  These are perfect to craft as a number of different items, including hair accessories and appliques for other projects.  It also comes with a video tutorial!

I adore this design because it's...

Quick to work up
Beginner-friendly
A versatile pattern that can be made into many different things
Easily customizable with different yarn colors
Great for lots of occasions
Super duper cute
...and comes with a video tutorial!

Here's a quick run-down on cherry blossoms.  They're called sakura in Japanese, and are a symbolic flower of the spring, a time of renewal, and the fleeting nature of life. Their life is very short. After their beauty peaks around two weeks, the blossoms start to fall.

Thankfully, this crochet version will last all year round!

My Sakura Flower is used in my free Dress-up Bunny Lovey crochet pattern, serving as a lovely headband for the bunny.

If you're interested in that pattern, feel free to take a look!  This bunny also has other accessories, like a bow headband and a bonnet.
