In the middle of this pandemic in Southern CA it’s been raining for weeks now! Going for walks, sitting in the back yard – is not doable! Being confined to the house, literally, is starting to wear on all of us – including the fur babies! I hope everyone is holding up in the middle of this crisis and staying strong and healthy.
This coming week my menu plans have taken form with ordering groceries online for pick up at the store. It’s become a new normal. Do any of you find it difficult to remember everything you need while ordering online? I wished I had remembered to order snacks and things like that. Unfortunately they were out of rice so I got cauliflower and those people don’t ever pick fresh foods like I would. This cauliflower came with dark spots. I plan on using it as cauli-rice and faux-tay-toes if push comes to shove. If not, I love cauliflower as is! I feel like Bubba in Forest Gump. You can make fried cauliflower, steamed cauliflower, mashed cauliflower, raw cauliflower, bake it with cheese, add it to soups…
On Wednesday I’m sharing a recipe for Air-Fried Asian Wonton Purses. They are so good – serve them as a side to an Asian meal, or as snacks. They’re crispy, flavorful and can be made with ingredients you have on hand if desired. Add shrimp, chicken, or pork. They really can be made with ingredients you like best!
And then on Thursday another free pattern for a brand new design for a sweet teacup and saucer! This one is made with yarn making it super quick and easy to crochet. You could add an insert to create a pincushion or simply fill it with potpourri to fancy bath soaps! And Friday, another Top Five Friday Finds for beautiful teacups and saucers. Mother’s day will be here before you know it and right after Easter is the best time to start crocheting making that perfect gift for mom or someone special in your life!
